Best Horror Documentaries

For most people, loving something means nerding out...

In other words, learning everything about something from the inside out. If you're reading this, there's a pretty good chance you love one or both of these:

1. Horror Films

2. Filmmaking

Were we right?

Below is a list of our top 10 picks for horror film documentaries, otherwise known as the coveted "making-of."

Okay, maybe they're not coveted...but when we find a new making-of, we absolutely freak.

It was difficult to narrow it down to our top 10, but we ultimately chose based on the documentaries that went the most in-depth, shared archival footage, cast and crew interviews, and had a decent runtime.

(Please Note: These are not ranked in any particular order.)

1. Movie Life: House Of Wax

2. Divine Trash

3. Nightmares in Red, White, and Blue: The Evolution of the American Horror Film

4. Starz Inside: Fantastic Flesh

5. Nightmare Factory

6. Master Of Cinema: Wes Craven

7. Surviving The Hills: The Making Of The Hill's Have Eyes (2006)

8. Unearthed & Untold: The Path To Pet Sematary

9. Pennywise: The Story Of IT

10. 30 Days in Hell: The Making Of The Devil's Rejects

Okay, okay... Here's 5 more. We know you want it.

11. Leviathan: The Story of Hellraiser and Hellbound: Hellraiser II

12. Raising Hell: Filming The Exorcist

13. Michael Lives: The Making Of Rob Zombie's Halloween

14. One By One We Will Take You: The Untold Saga Of The Evil Dead
